Training Side by Side: A Story I Didn’t See Coming

After a week of cheese, curds, and long drives, I always carve out time for something that resets me—training at Metroflex Minnesota. It’s been part of my rhythm for over a decade. No frills, no fluff—just iron, intensity, and focus.

Picture
I first walked into Metroflex because of the name. Ronnie Coleman trained at the original in Texas, and that legacy caught my attention. But what kept me coming back was the atmosphere. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s built for people who train with purpose.
After a full day of meetings, dealer visits, and client conversations, Metroflex is where I decompress. It’s the place I go to clear my head, reset my focus, and get back to center. That routine doesn’t just help me physically—it sharpens how I show up for my customers. Staying disciplined in the gym keeps me grounded in business. It’s about consistency, energy, and showing up with clarity and drive.

A Moment That Stuck

Picture
In 2022… I learned I had a son I never knew about. Yeah—you read that right. And that year, I met my 22-year-old son, Jimmy.
As we started getting to know each other, I found out he loves to train—just like me. That shared passion gave us something solid to build on. I introduced him to Metroflex, and now it’s part of our rhythm. When I’m in town, we hit the gym together. It’s not just about the reps—it’s about the connection. Watching him push through sets in the same space that shaped me? That’s something I’ll never forget.

Metroflex isn’t just a gym—it’s a mindset. And that’s what Lift Logic is all about: the places, habits, and values that keep us strong—on the road, in business, and in life. Whether I’m building cheese programs or building muscle, I’m always chasing better. And Metroflex helps me do that.
More to come on this place. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite equipment, how I structure my lifts, and why this gym continues to shape the way I train—physically and mentally.

In cheese production, lifting isn’t just a task—it’s a daily demand. From heavy blocks to awkward packaging, manual handling can take a toll on your team. That’s why ergonomic solutions like the Pal Vac Sprint vacuum lifter are transforming how dairy operations protect their workforce while boosting productivity.

Why Ergonomics Matter in Dairy

Repetitive lifting, bending, and twisting are common in cheese processing—and they’re also leading causes of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), back injuries, and fatigue. These issues don’t just affect worker health; they impact efficiency, morale, and long-term staffing.
The Pal Vac Sprint is designed to eliminate those risks. By replacing manual lifting with vacuum-assisted handling, it reduces strain and supports safer, more sustainable workflows.

Engineered for Operator Comfort

This lifter isn’t just powerful—it’s intuitive. Its ergonomic design allows operators to move cheese products with minimal effort, using natural hand and arm motions. Whether lifting 20 lbs or 600 lbs, the system adapts to the load without requiring physical exertion.
•            No bending or twisting: Operators stay upright and aligned
•            Reduced fatigue: Less strain means longer, more productive shifts
•            Improved safety: Fewer injuries, fewer lost workdays

A Smarter Way to Handle Cheese

From vats to racks to packaging lines, the Pal Vac Sprint handles a wide range of cheese formats—without compromising operator safety. It’s especially valuable in high-volume environments where speed and consistency are key.
And because it’s compatible with existing Schmalz equipment, you don’t need to overhaul your line to upgrade your ergonomics.

The Bottom Line

Protecting your team is good business. With the Pal Vac Sprint, you’re not just lifting cheese—you’re lifting standards. Ergonomic equipment helps reduce injuries, retain talent, and keep your operation running smoothly.

In cheese production, hygiene isn’t just a priority—it’s a mandate. From brine baths to packaging lines, every surface and tool must meet strict food safety standards. That’s where the Pal Vac Sprint Hygienic vacuum lifter shines. Designed specifically for cleanroom and food-grade environments, it offers a powerful blend of sanitation, durability, and ease of use.

Built for Cleanliness from the Ground Up

Picture
The Pal Vac Sprint Hygienic is constructed entirely from stainless steel, a material known for its corrosion resistance and compatibility with aggressive cleaning agents. This means it can stand up to dairy acids, brine, and the rigorous cleaning protocols common in cheese facilities.

Tool-Free Disassembly for Fast Cleaning

Picture
Time is money in dairy operations, and cleaning shouldn’t slow you down. The PalVac Sprint Hygienic features tri-clover connectors that allow for tool-less disassembly. This means your team can quickly prep the lifter for cleaning without fumbling with bolts or special tools.
It also includes an integrated HEPA filter, which prevents environmental contamination and protects the internal lifting tube from buildup. The outside of the tube is washable and easy to sanitize, further simplifying your hygiene routine.

FDA-Compliant Contact Surfaces

For cheese producers who require direct contact between lifting equipment and product, the PalVac Sprint Hygienic delivers peace of mind. Its FDA-conform sealing lip is non-cracking and non-absorbent, allowing for safe, hygienic handling of cheese blocks, wheels, or shredded formats.
Whether you’re lifting bags, boxes, or unpackaged cheese, this lifter is ready to meet your sanitation standards without compromise.
